Yes, you can suspend your membership if you are overseas for a period between one and nine months.

To be eligible, you will need to have been a continuous member with Bupa for at least two months, and your membership will need to be fully paid as of the suspension date. Memberships can be suspended three times per calendar year for a maximum of 9 months. Read FAQ’s of Bupa OVHC for more details.
